How We Review Products
We compare products by what the maker's own page states. We do not test them, and we say so.
What we compare
- Needle length, needle count and needle material.
- Whether the head can be replaced, and the maker's replacement advice.
- The maker's cleaning advice and warnings.
- The schedule the maker suggests, set next to the schedules used in studies.
How we gather it
We read the maker's product page, write down each spec, and save a dated capture. Where a page does not state a spec, we write that it is not stated. We do not copy specs from stores or from other review sites.
What we leave out
- Testing claims. We have not used or tested the products.
- Stars, scores and rankings.
- Prices. They change often, so this site shows none.
- Growth claims copied from store pages. Those are not study results.
- Links to stores. At present there are none. If that changes we will mark each link and say so at the top of the page.
Every product gets a note on fit
Each entry includes a short line on why it may not suit you, so the page is not a list of good news.
